The Dogs and Boats and Airplanes Choir is a 33RPM Vinyl LP centrepiecing the choristers of Howard Park and Lord Lansdowne Junior Public Schools in Toronto, Canada.

The repertory was developed by thirty-two 8 to 12 year old choristers in 2011 in collaboration with Bill Burns. The record features the voices of children making the sounds of dogs, boats and airplanes. No words are used. Side A is conceived as incidental music for Mr. Burns’ new book, Dogs and Boats and Airplanes Told in the Form of Ivan the Terrible. Side B features the children voicing the sounds of dogs lapping milk, a tug passing in the fog, the dog kennel, the cockpit, the creaking ship and more.

Dogs and Boats and Airplanes Choir is a signed limited edition of 100. A special edition of 25 records is also available. The special edition includes a limited edition print from Bill Burns’ Dogs and Boats and Airplanes Told in the Form of Ivan the Terrible. The edition also includes 20 chorister’s and artist’s proofs.

His editions are included in collections at the MoMA, New York, Tate Britain, London, Getty Center, Los Angeles and Cabinet de estampes, Geneva.
