For this year’s NADA New York fair, Printed Matter is pleased to debut a new fundraising edition by Israel Lund. NADA New York takes place May 9-11, on Pier 36 at Basketball City, NYC.

The editioned work features a variable silkscreen image over a two-color offset print, making each one unique. Untitled utilizes familiar imagery from the artist’s work on raw canvas, in which he applies acrylic paint through a screen-print process to create roughly worked, pixelated patterns that feel like digitally-born half-tone dots. Vertical white bands, an element in this edition, are another a motif present in Lund’s recent paintings. The work measures 8.5 x 11", is produced in an edition of 50, and retails at $400.

Lund’s work will be available exclusively at Printed Matter’s NADA booth through this weekend. Following the fair it may be purchased at the Printed Matter storefront and via our website.

Israel Lund received his MFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts, and currently lives and works in New York. Lund will have his first solo show with David Lewis Gallery on June 10th.

Printed Matter will also launch a Contemporary Poetry zine curated by artist Sam Gordon, available throughout the weekend. The publication collects 35 emerging and established poets who are engaged with artists in moments of dialogue and exchange. A marathon reading will take place at the NADA upstairs lounge on Saturday 12-6pm.
