We are pleased to present a display of works by Louise Odes Neaderland at Printed Matter Chelsea.

We were deeply saddened to learn that Neaderland passed away on December 30, 2022, at the age of 90. A pioneer in the field of Xerography and copier art, Neaderland is perhaps best known as the founder and director of The International Society of Copier Artists (I.S.C.A.), which released a quarterly from 1982 to 2003. Building off of her background in photography and printmaking, she promoted the use of the photocopier as a tool for artistic production and the establishment of Xerography as a legitimate art form, and also influenced the development of mail art, copy art, and independent artist publishing.

The display features a wide array of Neaderland’s output, from her early collage work of accordion fold books to her later experiments with intricately folded artists’ books.

Our full catalog of 45+ historic works by Neaderland can be found here.
