The Molds have existed like the smog in Beijing underground Scenes. Penetrating dim shadows of time, you can feel their thickness and vagueness. During their murky \uc0\u64257 rst ten years, the band spread only through rough live recordings and word-of-mouth. Apart from a self-made demo that was popular among the underground scene, there have been no of\u64257 cial publications.
The three and a half songs on the 7\‘92 inch record were selected from their few early bootleg recordings. Some tracks were re-engineered after the plan to release them was decided. The gloom and uproar suffused on the stage is perceptible from these rough recordings.
Timbres based on the 60’s and 90’s are coarse and clear. The past does not always indicate glory, but time may turn bleakness and dolefulness into warmth. “Cherishing Sweet Memories!”\'97 is the sentence on the back cover of the record. Let the echo of the past go. Stub out the cigarette. More staunch sounds will be played by the newest iteration of The Molds.
