The Spring Press launches the Lathe Edition

We’re hosting a launch for the publication of the Lathe Edition from The Spring Press, Saturday, October 6th, 5.30–7PM. The new series features a limited edition lathe-cut 10", each individually cut with a silver foil-stamped jacket on heavy tip-on Stoughton sleeves, hand titled and numbered. The first two LPs in the series will be on hand from Jozef Van Wissem and Gert-Jan Prins, with a performance at the event by Van Wissem.

A limited number of Jozef’s new EP “Arcana Coelestia”:catalog/31955 will be available.

The series will see the release of new EPs from Jozef Van Wissem, Gert-Jan Prins, Compound Eye, Bruce Russell, Richard Youngs, Carlos Giffoni & Marco Fusinato with more to be announced. Each LP is printed in restricted runs of seventy copies.

Jozef Van Wissem is a New York based Dutch lutenist. Van Wissem takes an expiremental approach to Renaissance and Baroque forms of lute music eploying minimalist, classical, conceptual and improvisational methods. He has collaborated with the likes of Keiji Haino, Tetuzi Akiyama, Smegma, James Blackshaw, Jim Jarmusch, amongst others.
