Clod Magazine is a satirical publication from Luton, UK, influenced by the legacy of punk rock publications and the early days of Dada magazines. The handmade zine straddles fact and fiction and is a mess of observation, bitterness, poor satire, in-jokes, crassness and shoddiness. Their latest issue, the Americana edition, offers their typical irreverence in the cut & paste style to examine the ‘special relationship’ between the UK and the US.

A few highlights from the latest issue include a refreshingly achievable list of “100 Things To Do Before You Die”, a Babe Ruth centerfold, and a three-page “Transatlantic Lexicon” that helps inhabitants of both the UK and the USA learn about the often crippling differences between the identical sounding words and phrases we all use. Each issue also comes with a free slice of ‘American Cheese Simulate” and a one inch nail for you to bang on every time you stray into a “chain” coffee outlet.
