Emerging Artists Publication Series

The Emerging Artists Publication Series focuses on early career artists whose practice has already demonstrated a commitment to experimentation and critical inquiry in the visual arts. While the projects that fall under this category are wide-ranging, the projects selected from the series’ periodic calls for submissions show attention to content, process and technique, and explore the medium in new and compelling ways.

The series has included the following artists’ publications:
Anne Callahan, Notes from the History of Ed- (2015)
Sara Cwynar, Pictures of Pictures (2014)
Dawn Kim, New York Testament (2015)
Clive Murphy & Aengus Woods, DIWIF: Demonic Interventions with IKEA Furniture (2014)
Chris Nosenzo, Lost Art (2014)
Max Stolkin, Versions (2014)
Federico Pérez Villoro & Christopher Hamamoto, Printer Prosthetic: Futura (2017)
Philip Iosca, Exquisite Corps (2017)
Gerardo Madera, Name, Thing, Thing: A Primer in Parallel Typographies (2018)
Isadora Reisner, Jaguar Group (forthcoming)
Rin Kim, Hunters Follow Harpy Shadows (2021)
Jessica Vaughn, Depreciating Assets (2021)
Catherine Feliz, When Eye Land (forthcoming)
Gabriel Pericàs, The History of Lubrication (forthcoming)

The Emerging Artists Publication Series is made possible by the generous support of the Jerome Foundation, the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, and by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
