Social Malpractice Publishing was founded in 2009 in Portland, OR by artist Sean Joseph Patrick Carney. SMP independently publishes artist books that are released through exhibitions, the artists themselves, and a select network of art-focused book stores in the United States. Specializing in absurdist content, SMP welcomes proposals and submissions from artists and writers who would like a platform to communicate their ideas and imagery.
