Gi (Ginny) Huo

Gi Eun Huo (birth name) or Ginny is an interdisciplinary artist and educator who creates social sculptures and performative installations. She was born in Honolulu, HI and lived in various places in the United States, Italy, France, Germany and South Korea. She received a BFA in Visual Arts at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT and then received a MFA at the Rinehart School of Sculpture at the Maryland Institute College of the Arts in Baltimore, MD. She is a participant of Queens Museum Art Action Academy (2016), Creative Capital Summer Intensive, NY (2016), Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, ME (2015), Takt Artist Residency in Berlin (2015), Visiting Artist at American Academy in Rome (2014), 33OC Artist in Residence in Toffia, Italy (2014), SOHO20 Chelsea Gallery Artist in Residence, NY (2011).

She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She works as the Youth Programs Coordinator at the Studio Museum in Harlem, NY.
