Loosely associated with the Fluxus movement, artist Coco Gordon resurrects the myth of Super Skywoman in this handbound panoply of prints, poems, images, and tipped-in photographs. Superskywoman-La Caduta (Superskywoman: The Fall) is at the same time an account of a fallen sky-goddess and Gordon’s attempt to “seek experiences which recreate the timeless feeling of Skywoman.” The reader is invited to participate in this recreation by finding his or her own way into the book’s content, which is revealed through layers of translucent vellum, overlapping imagery, and printed fold-outs.
