Edited and designed by graduate students at the Princeton School of Architecture, Pidgin is a non-traditional architecture journal that seeks to disseminate the ideas, projects, and research of students, scholars, and artists in the fields of architecture, design, and urbanism.
The journal’s title is a double entendre for a hybridized and simplified spoken vernacular and the dissemination of information via carrier pigeon. Each issue seeks to reflect the rhythms, turns, and spontaneity of lived dialogue and to explore the linguistic and conversational significance of formal interviews, personal conversation, the messenger chatlog, and other mediums of communication.
