Taking subjects as varied as an apple, the Eiffel Tower, and a mayfly, agnès b. pairs her concentration on the material with ephemeral aspects of both urban and natural landscapes—a sailboat on the sea, the shadow of a window cast onto a wall, lights reflected on water. The artist chooses to ruminate on certain images with handwritten, French descriptions or statements, reminding the viewer of the photographer’s relationship with her chosen subjects.
