Interface is a collaborative project between Australia and Germany based Illustrator and Designer Molly Dyson and Mexico City independent publisher Can Can Press. Interface includes a series of illustrations by Molly Dyson inspired by spectrum computer game package design. Interface is risograph printed in three colors. The illustrations create a world, inextricably linked to computer game interfaces, making its publication in print, a recontextualization of internet aesthetics. The package also includes two “print is now” stickers and a large risograph printed poster on newsprint. Interface was published in 2019 as part of the Can Can Friends 2.0 project and includes contributions from ZEBU, a Berlin based art duo, Colin Doerffler, a Munich based multidisciplinary designer.
“Can Can Press is a multi-disciplinary art project founded by Gabino Azuela and Jackie Crespo in 2017. Based in Mexico City, Can Can Press is focused on the experimentation, publication, distribution and manifestation of new creative proposals. As a publishing house, the project retakes the artist book by the new art of making books, creating a visual and conceptual narrative from the content to the form of the object.” -Can Can Press
