This sixth issue of Heads Magazine brandishes unexpected leaps across its black-and-white subject matter: grainy photographs of weightlifting dudes, close-up shots of automobile reflections, renderings of static noise, flattened sculpture, fluid illustrations playing with positive and negative space, scratchy cubist-punk illustrations, sculptures of questionably authentic fashion items — all are fair game for this risograph-printed, staple-bound edition of the periodical. Deliberately random and off-handedly irreverent, this potluck of entertainment strikes true to its self-description as “a safe place to show weird art.”
“Heads Magazine is a collaborative community project based in Boone, NC featuring an ever‑expanding community of artists from all over the world that share a passion for making. It is our intention at the Heads-quarters to create a sense of camaraderie amongst a diverse global community while being an affordable exhibition platform existing in the physical realm. All are welcome to get involved.” — Heads Magazine
