The publication Frankfurter Auszug appears as part of a series of works dealing with the documentation and protection of cultural assets during the Second World War. Based on the “Color Diaarchive for Wall and Ceiling Painting” of the Central Institute for Art History in Munich, this artist’s paper collects all available photographs taken between 1943 and 1945 of fresco cycles and wall decorations in churches, monasteries and secular buildings in Frankfurt. The pictures were taken as part of the “Führerauftrag Farbfotografie” and should serve as a basis for later reconstruction in the event of possible destruction. They have been digitized over the last few years and are available online today. The resulting newspaper with 341 illustrations of 11 works from 4 buildings was first presented as part of the installation “Führerauftrag” in the exhibition “Making History” from 20 April to 8 July 2012 in the Museum of Modern Art in Frankfurt. - Edition Fink
